Early Education and Curriculum

At ACM Kidz our approach to learning and our curriculum is very much based on Aistear and Siolta.

“Early childhood is a significant and distinct time in life that must be nurtured, respected, valued and supported in its own right.”  Siolta, 2009

The child is an active agent in his or her own development through their interactions with the world. These interactions are motivated by the individual child’s abilities, interests, previous experiences and desire for independence. Each child is a competent learner from birth.

At ACM Kidz we will strive to provide that quality care of offering our children experiences that will help and support them to grow and reach their full potential.

We value outdoor play and hands on experiences, choice and children’s participation in our setting. Children are encouraged to play outdoors which enhances their well-being and learning about the outdoor environment through exploration. We also value and embrace diversity and celebrate every child’s cultural identity throughout our setting. Every child is unique and has their story to tell.

Partnership with Parents

“Parents are the most important people in their children’s early lives.”  Aistear, 2009

At ACM KIDZ we acknowledge that parents are the primary carers of their children. With this mind, we strive to develop strong relationships with parents in order to provide the best care and education to their child.

We promote and encourage the participation of all children and their families to assist us in learning about all cultures. We value parental involvement and try to ensure parents and families are made to feel welcome within the setting and are engaged in their children’s learning. We are flexible in our approach to working with parents and try to cater for all the needs of the individual families.
