This initiative was introduced and funded by Ballyhoura Development. They worked with us and supported us in delivering this brilliant project that included participation from our wonderful parents.
The planting and resourcing of materials and equipment was carried out by voluteer’s Nicki McNamara ACM Management Committee and Collette Neville from our local Tidy Towns committee who’s valuable knowledge and experience really contributed to the success of the project.
We would also like to acknowledge Margaret O’Connor Community Support Worker with Ballyhoura and thank her for introducing us to this really worthwhile opportunity.
As part of the healthy eating initiative we were invited on a trip to Croom, Co Limerick to present our healthy eating project to other early years’ services so that we would all have the opportunity to learn from each other. Deirdre spoke extremely well on the day and outlined the approach we took. A huge thank you to Ballyhoura Development & Safe Food for supporting our healthy initiative. Both children, parents and teachers had a great day at their networking day, ‘Learning from Each Other’.
The children loved getting their faces painted and the balloon making too. See our fun filled day photos.
